Changes

Changes are the actions taken (automatic or manual) that modify, add, or remove a rule.

Access Changes

To open the All Changes list:

  • On the toolbar, click Change > Changes.

To open a specific device's changes:

  • Go to the All Devices list, select and device, and then click Change > Changes.

The Changes list table contains the following data fields pertaining to any changes to a policy.

Value Description
Device For a device, click the Revision ID link to open that specific device's Policy View page.
Revision Displays the type of revision.
Action

Displays the type of change.

Modified

Added

Removed

User The user who initiated the change.
Date/Time The timestamp of when the change was made. Click the Date/Time link to open that specific device's Policy View page.
Object Type Possible types: Application, Device Property, Interface, NAT Rule, Network Object, Policy, Route, Schedule Object, Security Profile, Security Rule, Service Object, User Object, Virtual Router, Zone
Object Specifics of the object type. Pause on the entry to view details.
Summary Pause on the entry to view a summary of the change.

Menu of actions to perform:

  • View Configuration—clicking opens the Policy View page for the device with View Changes disabled.
  • View Changes—clicking opens the Policy View page for the device with View Changes enabled.
